Sahlen Field is home of the Buffalo Bisons, the AAA minor league baseball affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. The stadium opened in Buffalo, New York in 1988 and can seat up to 16,600 people, making it the highest-capacity AAA ballpark in the United States.
NewBlue’s partner, Sports Display Systems, recently installed a Fusion 2 turnkey broadcast graphics system with Titler Live Broadcast.
Al Weissman, President & Systems Engineer of Sports Display Systems, the systems integrator who installed the solution has this to say:
“We purchased and installed a Fusion 2 turnkey system with Titler Live software for a system upgrade in a AAA baseball team stadium this spring. The graphics system is integrated into the Jumbotron control room for in-stadium displays as well as the Web and TV broadcasts. One output channel is for the broadcast score bug and the other channel is for full page, boxed and lower third player and team stats. We connected the Fusion 2 server to a Daktronics “Game In Progress” feed from their scoring system and we utilize the real-time scoring data for the broadcast bug. The system has exceeded my expectations. It works flawlessly and the operators find it to be intuitive and easy to become proficient. The Fusion 2 hardware has a small footprint and is easy to install. NewBlue’s on-line training sessions were great, and the tech support is easy to access and responsive. We are system integrators for Sports and Studio production facilities and have installed many graphics systems. The Fusion 2 with Titler Live is now our go-to system for live event graphics”.
